Dear Parents/Carers
A belated Happy New Year and a big welcome to our new children and families.
Timings:
Can we please remind you of the timing of our sessions. Unfortunately, late pick ups are happening more frequently and we are considering charging a late fee in line with other settings.
From Monday to Thursday, we are open from 8.30am until 2.45pm and on Friday from 8.30am until 1pm.
Your own timings will vary according to your contracts and please ensure you stick to these.
Donations
Thank you very much to those parents who continue to make regular donations towards snacks and our extra curricular activities. We very much rely on these donations (either £1 per child per day or a contribution towards our healthy snacks such as fruit or crackers).
Fees
From April 2024 our fees will increase to £7.85 per hour, in line with County funding and cost of living increases.
Packed lunches
We are finding that some children are still hungry after their lunch so can you please try to include a range of healthy options to fill them up. We would suggest a sandwich, pitta or wrap or perhaps pasta, with cucumber, carrot etc and fruit and a healthy treat. If you Google children’s lunch box ideas there are lots of suggestions.
Clothing
Please make sure that your children have appropriate clothing for the weather, including a warm coat, gloves and hat. We do try to go outside every day, although when the weather is very cold or wet it is only for a short time to get some fresh air.
If your child is toilet training, please put them in clothing (such as leggings or joggers) that they can pull down easily.
This term, we will be looking at lots of seasonal celebrations and will keep you posted as the weeks progress! We will shortly be sending out another email, mainly aimed at new parents but to remind you all of our most important policies. Please read it carefully. We will also be revising our contracts in line with other settings and the new funding system.
